Transportation Preparation Instructions
Batten down the hatches! As obvious as
it seems, the simplest precautions are often overlooked as you
prepare to transport your boat. See our
pre-transport printable version for details.
Sailboat Pre-Transport Instructions
- Unstep the mast and remove all wires, antennas, spreaders,
winches and wires.
- Remove standing rigging, turnbuckles, masthead and bow lights.
- Do not secure the mast to the boat. We will secure it to the
trailer instead.
- Cradles should be in good condition and properly fit the hull
contour. The boat must also be properly secured to the cradle.
- Remove stanchions, life lines, bow pulpits
and stern pulpits if they cause an overheight condition.
